An Arrest Is Not a Conviction
An arrest does not prove guilt, and a booking entry does not reveal the final case result. Charges may be declined, reduced, dismissed, or resolved for the defendant. Later sealing, expungement, and amendments can also make an old copy misleading. Confirm the current disposition with the Cass County Circuit Clerk, the agency that created the arrest record, or the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification.
Treat every record you find as a starting point, not a verdict. Only the originating agency can confirm what a record currently says and whether it is still releasable.
Verify With the Official Source
Nothing here is an official record. Confirm court dates with the Circuit Clerk, warrant and sheriff-report information with the Cass County Sheriff, conviction responses with the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification, and registry details with the Illinois State Police Sex Offender Registry or listed registering agency. Only the issuing office can provide an official or certified copy.
